# How To Make It:

01 - Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add fusilli and cook until al dente according to package directions. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.
02 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced bacon and cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until crisp.
03 - Add sliced onions to the skillet and cook for 3 minutes until they start to soften.
04 - Stir in mushrooms and cook about 5 minutes until golden and moisture evaporates.
05 - Incorporate minced garlic and cook 1 minute until fragrant.
06 - Pour in heavy cream, if using, and simmer for 2 minutes until slightly thickened.
07 - Add drained fusilli to skillet. Toss with bacon and vegetables, adding reserved pasta water as needed to loosen sauce.
08 - Stir in grated Parmesan and chopped parsley. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
09 - Plate immediately, garnished with extra Parmesan and parsley if desired.
